Pathway to Secondary School

Preparing children for the change ahead

This year above all years has presented so many challenges. For 6th class children transitioning to secondary school, they have missed their end of primary celebrations, they have separated from friends and the missed the opportunity to normalise the changes of moving to the next chapter in their life.

Our workshop provides a space for children to consider the road ahead.

We focus on what they see as the main differences between primary and secondary school. How to build new relationships and make new friends, managing our nerves and anxiety and teaching skills to allow them to help themselves; like the the power of positivity and building resilience.

Children of this age, have lots of thoughts and opinions but are not always that comfortable to share them, we give them the chance to do just that!

Oh, and its fun!
